This mate' came well-protected in a nice sealed metal can, with a pourable spout on the lid. A simple idea, but I have never seen that before on purchases prior. Mate' is excellent for dark rainy days like this one is (for me) and this mate' tastes excellent. It is truly low-powder, although there is never any avoiding it completely. As advertised, I have not seen any stems in my cup, either. It definitely has that mate' kick we love.

First, the packaging for this tea is the best I've ever seen. It arrived in a perfectly fit cardboard tube container and it kept the tin absolutely pristine. Prior to opening the vacuum-sealed bag, I shook up the contents to push any small particles to the top. The cut of leaves are consistent and the low powder promise appears to be true. After following directions of shaking the brew, the tea was still fairly clear and residue free. The tea has a strong, fresh and earthy aroma. The taste is also earthy but with an essence similar to lemongrass. I look forward to enjoying this regularly. Highly Recommended.

I enjoy yerba mate tea (hot and cold) because of the unique smoky taste and how it perks me up. This one comes in a rather nice metal container -- which also has a handy spout that you can pop out on the top for easy pouring.
The tea itself is good. It has that expected smokiness in the flavor, but it's overall smooth. I'm happy with this and now I have a bunch that'll last me at both work and home.

I drink a LOT of coffee and matcha, so I decided it was about time I tried Mate again. My parents are from Argentina but I never liked the taste; it always seemed too bitter.
On the other hand, as an adult I've only tried it a couple of times, and didn't really prepare it correctly. So when this high-quality mate became available I googled the proper preparation, and discovered that pouring boiling water - as I'd done in the past - will make the mate very bitter. You want to keep the water around 155°F maximum.
I did that, and dug out the bulb and straw that I had been given some time back - and the taste is pretty good! The caffeine is balanced with other chemicals that also help give you some pep. Although it's not clear to me yet how the effect of mate compares to the smooth lift of matcha, I've been having a nice morning on mate alone.
I did find that the metal straw I have leaks too many leaves into my mouth, so I filtered it into a cup instead. Don't let any Argentine person see you do that!

Upon receiving the product, the first thing I noticed was how much thought they put into the packaging. They shipped the tin in a cardboard tube to prevent the tin from getting damaged in transit. Then the tea itself is packaged in a vacuum sealed bag. I poured out a couple tablespoons of it into my french press, and using a less than boiling temperature water, as recommended by many online articles, I steeped it for about 6 minutes. The flavor is strong, but in a good way. It's slightly bitter, and earthy. I read somewhere that you could also add in sliced ginger, or mint leaves to give it a nice flavor boost, so I will try that next time. There's definitely a decent amount of caffeine in it, as I felt nice and energized throughout the afternoon after drinking the tea. This is my first time having Yerba Mate and I would definitely have this tea again. I might start drinking one less cup of coffee a day and switch it up with Yerba Mate instead.

I don't follow the convention with the Yerba Mate - it is a bit complicated and messy for me. I brew this cold - fill a tea strainer in a quart container and leave it in the fridge overnight. For the next two or three days I have a wonderful cold drink with enough caffein to get me going. The fresh (and a little bitter) taste is welcome and I like not having coffee breath all morning.
This particular brand is maybe a little less bitter but still has a great taste and the kick I need. I noticed that the same amount swells a bit more than the other brands I've used; I'm not sure why but it is noticeable. It does seem to have less that gets through the tea strainer, so the low tea powder is probably legit as well.
It is packaged well - the vacuum-packed tea fills up the metal container nicely, although I worry that the spout on the lid is not air tight and so feel some urgency to get through this quickly.

This yerba mate comes in a sealed can with a spout lid. Inside the can, the tea is vacuum-sealed inside a metallic bag. It's not hard to open it and pour it into the can, from where it can be poured or scooped.
The instructions seem to be made for some kind of gourd-shaped cup, which I assume is the "proper" way to serve yerba mate. I don't have that, so I had to guess how much to use for my tea strainer. The tea itself appears to be high-quality, with evenly sized pieces and no stems.
My tea came out a little weak, probably because I wasn't sure how much to use. It still tasted good, though.
This would be a good gift as the presentation was nice.

This yerba matte surprised me with its strength. The brand I had been using was no where near as potent.
There has been absolutely no stems so far in what I've had and the dust content is extremely low, almost nonexistant.
It comes very well packaged and protected and is itself stored in a cylindrical tin with a pour spout on the top as shown. My main concern here is the pour spout isn't well sealed so you may want to keep it in an air tight bag if you don't go through it super fast to help maintain freshness.

South American tea is not at all like asian teas. This yerba mate has a much brighter flavor, very pleasant.
I don't have a traditional South American cup and straw, so I made an initial test batch in a regular white cup to try to highlight the tea's color. I have also used my coffee press; the results were very good. I have a tendency to over-steep my drinks, but this did not evoke any bitterness. The flavor was still smooth with a bit of a dry grass note (not a bad thing).
Yerba mate is known for having significant caffeine content, but the packaging makes no mention of this. For the three times I've enjoyed this tea so far, I have noticed an uplift; it hasn't been excessive though, no jitters.
I'm glad I ordered this tea! I do recommend it for your consideration.

I have had Yerba mate tea as a mix with other teas. This is the first time I tried it by itself. The tea steeped very well and fast. The brew was excellent with no hint of tartness or the weird flavor some teas have. It was soft yet fragrant and flavorful. The dispenser was easy to use. I usually have coffee in the mornings followed by tea rest of the day. I found this a great substitute for coffee. The tin is huge so it will last a while. 5 Stars!
